Cheryl Kindred

Cheryl Kindred is an Arizona native who rose to the Top 10 in the Southwest as a junior player. She went on to play collegiate tennis at Long Beach State University, where she earned Big West Player of the Year during her senior season. She is a USPTA Certified Professional and holds a Level B ATP Certification, bringing both elite playing experience and professional coaching credentials to her students. Following college, Cheryl built an extensive coaching career in Los Angeles, working at premier tennis programs in Orange County, Riviera Country Club, and UCLA camps. She later served as Head Professional in Wuxi, China, and coached alongside Jeffrey Smallwood. Cheryl has since returned to her roots in Phoenix, Arizona, where she and her husband run the One More Ball Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to giving back through tennis and creating opportunities for local youth. For the past three years, the foundation has chartered a bus to Indian Wells Family Day in partnership with USTA SoCal, helping kids experience what tennis can be and what it can open the door to in life.
